I went with shooter/stack rad - and guess what - 70% of my deck there were no shooter cards.ugh. Let's take the radiation girl for example as I just tried to finish hunter and got stuffed. So now i equip pumpkin dude first off and start a journey and check the skills before I even start - looking for hold mana and overwhelming force - the other ones I unlock as I go and upgrade what I think suits my build for that run. I try not to overcomplicate my deck, I usually go for evolving rather than just purchasing, but many times I've been left with no cards to play and no reshuffle. I really enjoy this game, I really do - it just seems that no matter what I try deckwise I just end up getting shafted at some point. Oh dude, I totally agree - I dislike STS and was actually the first and only rogue-like deckbuilder that I tried and it turned me completely off. I already 100% the game after 40+ hours and played a few more just to get a Trans 13 True end run. I do know of some enemies where your combo just gets dumpstered but this game is still MORE forgiving than STSĮDIT: Unless they did some major changes since May. Have you unlocked the double defense when getting combo?Īlso are you over complicating your deck? I only add a few cards to manage the deck size as well as early rounds of hard battles.(Some enemies though need to be skipped). It's a 'bit' frustrating, all in good fun though I really enjoy the runs, but it sucks to just flat out get smashed at a certain point, ya know what I mean?
This morning I tried Radation chicky - as long as your deck plays out the way you need it to, everything is toast - but once you hit some of the mini bosses - it doesn't matter how much rad you stack, if you don't armor up - gone baby gone and with that armor eliminator - you spend most of your time trying to get your AC up while letting the 100+ dance all over ya. Hit trans 1 with offensive Helena or Vamp Claire and usually end up dying around 2.5 or so. I completed Hunter mode with Claire and Helena - easy as cake. I've tried other combos like the mummy and wings (Helena) for example - but then I can never guesstimate how to nail a precision with all the buffs going ons. I equip the joker mask for trophies, the combo shortener, and the pumpkin for the skill points. mean, I will restart over and over to get save mana that's my starting point.
